Welcome to the first edition of my author newsletter, a monthly publication for readers of my books, where I share updates on my life, my books, and my journey as an author.
I confess, this aspect of the publishing world has been hard for me to understand and adopt. It sounded a bit cringy. Why would anyone want to get an email and read my ramblings about my works in progress, where in the world I was, or my attempts at micro prose? Then I thought, this is actually kind of punk rock. It reminds me of the E-Zines that Yolanda (my wife) and other punk rock teens used to make in the 90s.
So here I am, fully committing to the ancient art of writing an author newsletter. I decided to give my newsletter the following structure:
Where is Waldo: Brief updates on where I am and our travels.
Book Updates: Work-in-progress updates, launch news, reviews, etc.
Micro Stories: Selection of micro-prose stories posted the previous month on my Substack notes
Without further ado, I present to you my author newsletter, Issue 1.
